Athletics

At St. Monica-St. Michael School, we believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom and into the arena of sports and physical activities. A healthy body helps build a healthy mind! Our sports program is designed to foster teamwork, build character, and promote physical fitness among our students. We offer a diverse range of athletic opportunities, including basketball, cross country track, and cheerleading. Each of these programs is crafted to support the development of skills, discipline, and a sense of community.

Many of our students also choose to participate in sports outside of school. For any sport we do not have, our students are often able to play for their local public school’s team.

Track & Field

We offer Running Club for grades 2nd-4th, and a Cross Country team for grades 5th-8th that competes in local meets, for boys’, girls’, and co-ed runs.

Boys and Girls Basketball

From 3rd-8th grade for boys, and 6th-8th for girls, our Basketball season begins in December with registration beginning in October.

Cheerleading

Led by 5th grade teacher Mrs. Theresa Hoar, our cheerleaders learn cooperation, team spirit, and confidence. They combine dancing and gymnastics to put on a show everywhere they go!
