Living Our Faith

At St. Monica – St. Michael School, religion is not just another subject; it’s the foundation for our students’ growth. It creates a special atmosphere in our school. All students attend daily religion classes, and those in Pre-K through 8th grade take part in weekly liturgies as part of their education. We also integrate religious teachings into other subjects when appropriate.

In addition to learning, we encourage students to take action through community service projects, such as diaper drives and food drives. These activities help students live out their faith and make a positive impact in the community.

In second grade, students prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. Sixth graders prepare for Confirmation. We hold special meetings for parents to help them support their children in these preparations.

Sacramental Program

For second graders, preparing for Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist, and for sixth graders preparing for Confirmation, is a key part of our religion program. Parents are expected to be actively involved in helping their children get ready for these sacraments. Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation are only available to students who have been baptized as Roman Catholics.

“The sacraments are visible signs of invisible grace.”
St. Augustine
