Ms. Tiffany Seitz is our second-grade teacher. Ms. Seitz received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Norwich University and attended the Upper Valley Educators Institute in Lebanon, NH, for Vermont Teacher Licensure. She has much experience in education from working in Pre-K programs at Orchard Valley and Barre Town, Middle and Elementary School, substituting all grades at Derby Elementary and Union Elementary Schools, and student teaching with Susan Koch (VT Teacher of the Year) Grade 1 at Union School in Montpelier and Grades 2-3 with Beth Parker at East Montpelier School, and teaching Kindergarten in Brookfield, VT. Ms. Seitz has taken literacy training, including Fundations, and has experience using Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing and Bridges Math. These all align with and complement our school’s curriculum. In addition, she has recently completed a course on creating a trauma-informed classroom and strives to make her classroom a place where all students can be successful. Ms. Seitz grew up in Northfield, VT, attended St. John Parish with her family, and was a Junior Catholic Daughter. She presently lives in Montpelier with her daughter, a high school student at MHS.
